Bilingualism

Bilingualism is the ability to speak two languages perfectly well, and this can be native or obtained. For example, if there is a person who is born in Chile but  learn how to speak english and dominates that language, we talk about "obtained bilingualism", on the other side, if a person is born in Chile but goes to Italy and learns how to speak Italian perfectly well, we talk about "native bilingualism".
On the other hand, my opinion about bilingualism is that it is something that can help you a lot, regardless of whether it is "native" or "obtained", because it could help you get a better job or to be more succesful in your life, also everybody knows that speaking two languages is well received.
So, according to the definition of Bilingualism, I will never be able to be bilingual, but I would really like to learn English to a great extent, and I think that if I put all my effort to do it I could achieve a very good and accepted level.

  3. I totally agree with you. I mean, bilingualism is something extremely useful today in several ways. And it would be great if all of us could be biligual, but reality is different, in most of the cases it's something very difficult or sometimes...imposible.

    Good Luck!
